on our own

We've been on our own for the last week - no Heidi - and we've been hanging in there. The kids have been great and everyone seems healthy. We even did all of our regular activities plus we've had a few extra playdates, so we've been busy. In terms of new developments, Aidan and Julia are getting more active with rolling. Still no official rolls from back to front, but they've both kind of done it with help. They are sitting up on their own for short periods (sometimes up to a minute) and are really enjoying playing with toys and listening to stories. We introduced finger foods (those Gerber Fruit Puffs) this week and they both really like them. They struggle getting them in their mouths and prefer me to just put them in for them. Maggie continues to be mesmerized by anything related to princesses and dolls. She loves, loves, loves to dance. Tim and I caught her in her room dancing with one of her babies. She's very particular about arm position while dancing and insists that whoever is playing the "prince" puts their arm on her back and she puts hers on your shoulder. I thought Tim taught her this, but apparently she just picked it up from watching Cinderella. I'll have to get a picture of her dancing.
